CA Everyday Discount for Disabled Riders

Adult passengers with a disability can receive a 15% savings on Pacific Surfliner travel year-round – this is an additional 5% savings off Amtrak’s national discounted, disabled adult rail fare of 10%. The discount is also available to persons traveling with a passenger with a disability as a companion. Those designated as companions must be 18 years of age or older.

Select “Passenger with Disability” as your passenger type (in the "Adult" dropdown menu), then enter V577 into the promotion code field. Accessibility

Yes, service animals that are trained to perform a specific task for the benefit of a person with a disability are permitted in all areas where passengers are allowed. Please note that emotional support animals are not considered service animals and are not allowed onboard. Visit the Service Animals page on Amtrak’s website for more information on the policy.
Yes, the train can accommodate standard manual or battery-powered wheelchairs. The dimensions must not exceed 30" wide by 48" long, and the combined weight of the wheelchair and the occupant must not exceed 600 pounds. Accessible seating and restrooms are located on the lower level of our bi-level cars. All of the details are available on Amtrak.com. A discount is available for passengers with disabilities, and the customer can request assistance during the booking process, if needed.
